STIMULUS
EDM Antigone is a "mashup" of Sophocles' tragedy and music from a band named STIMULUS.
Stimulus was an Austin-based electronic rock group, active from 1991-1998, and consisting of founding member Paul D. Wilson (Songwriter/Synths/Vocals), founding member Bishop (Drums), and various studio and live concert musicians such as guitarist John DiGrazia (Joe King Carrasco), guitarist James Adkisson (7% Solution), and vocalist Chris Schacherer (The Pictures). The band was a live supporting act for 90s headliners such as Information Society, Dead or Alive, and Anything Box. Stimulus recorded 3 albums in total, the last of which, Obsessive Personality, was produced at Chicky's studio in midtown NYC. The album featured several tracks that received regional airplay, including "Confession" (Mix 94.7 Austin), dance-track "SubCon" (the Roxy nightclub, Houston), and music video "Possess Me" (Austin Music Channel, and Chicago Public Access). Stimulus' last recorded track "What's Next" was slated as an OP post-album single, but was never released to the general public before Stimulus disbanded, so the EDM Antigone production will be that track's first exposure to a large audience.
